High Speed Internet Committee
About the High-Speed Internet Committee
The High-Speed Internet Committee (HSIC) was created in January 2011 by the Board of Supervisors after a 2010 ad hoc citizens' committee and January 2011 County staff presentation illustrated the high speed internet reliable coverage challenges that exist in the rural areas of the County. The current HSIC task is to present a report to the Board of Supervisors by the end of 2011. Hopefully, through this website information about the committee (e.g., scope, members, informational items, etc.) can help the public see the information being accumulated, analyzed and discussed; and what roles exist for Hanover County as a local government in this issue.
