Public Hearing On Budget On March 30The Hanover Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on the proposed County Fiscal Year 2012 budget on Wednesday, March 30. The public hearing will begin at 7 p.m., and will be held in the Board Room of the Administration Building at Hanover Courthouse. County Administrator Cecil R. Harris Jr. has proposed a total budget of $390 million, 1.8% larger than the current year’s total budget. No tax rate increases or service level cuts are proposed. The County Administrator’s proposed budget can be read here. On this page you can also read his letter to the Board of Supervisors. The Board will take no action on Wednesday night. It is scheduled to adopt a budget on April 13. Fiscal Year 2012 begins on July 1. |
