The supervisors make decisions on the annual County budget and tax rate, and, in general, direct the County government. |

County Sheriff

Commonwealth's Attorney

The Commonwealth's Attorney is the chief prosecutor in Hanover's
court system, which consists of the Circuit Court, General
District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. |
Clerk of The Circuit Court

The Clerk's Office's responsibilities include
recording real estate documents, probate, court administration,
issuing marriage licenses and concealed handgun permits. This
office is elected every eight years. |
